Sorry its taken a few days for an update but I've been relaxing too much! Firstly - Happy New Year!! I hope everyone had a brilliant time seeing in 2006! We were on Hat Railay beach, Krabi and spent the day cruising round the islands snorkling and sunbathing! Then we watched the sunset on the beach and had a massive feast of fresh seafood. We headed to some bars on the backpackers side of Railay, but it was pretty quiet and everyone who was out was either in a couple or very 'relaxed', Bob Marley appreciation society! Was a good time anyway and we saw the new year in with a fire dancing show and fireworks! We moved on from Railay beach today, having spent yesterday climbing up and into a lagoon which was pretty amazing, but very hard work!! And I'm not the best at rock climbing! So here we are on Ko Phi Phi, famous for the film The Beach. When we got here the weather was gorgeous but unfortunatly while we were sat on the beach it started chucking it down so we escaped to a nearby bar! The island is very busy and has been restored a lot since the Tsunami, but there is still so much that needs to be done and there are memorials everywhere. Its pretty surreal to see all the pictures up everywhere and loads of missing person signs too. It was hit pretty hard a year ago, but with the help of volunteers, which they still need lots of, the clean up has started to restore the island back to its former beauty and I love it here already, the atmosphere is so chilled out! Going to try and uploads some photos now so Jo and everyone at Reef you will no longer miss my smile! hee hee!! :-) Miss you all, love me xxx
