We moved on to Mui Ne and found some fantastic bungalows for £7 a night complete with air-con, hot showers, cable tv and a fridge.....luxury! After arriving at 9pm we had a quick dinner and headed straight to bed as the plan was to spend just two nights here and fit everything in then move off to Dalat.
The first day we rose early and rented some mopeds, this time me and Cat drove, we were so giddy and proud of ourselves, we got some speed up on the main roads and didn't have or cause any accidents yaay! We didn't want to to another group tour, we'd rather do it ourselves. We took a quick peek at the beach which was literally swarming with Kite Surfers....made for some amazing, colourful photos.
Our first stop was Fairy Spring, a stream flowing through a patch of sand dunes with some really cool rock formations. We watched some Ostrich riding and then trekked barefoot upstream then walked up a huge dune and had a great time running all the way down. We had to walk through some really nice, vibrant green rice paddies to reah a mini waterfall with was cool. One section of the river was really unstable and I managed to take a step in the wrong place resulting in my leg being sucked into the wet sludge up to my thigh!!! Scary.
On the next stretch of mopedding we stopped off at a local fishing village and watched the preparation of sun-dried mini shrimp mmmmmmm!
After that we rode to some enormous red sand dunes and spent an hour finding various ways to get to the bottom, the boys did used a huge jumping method, Cat tried belly surfing and sausage rolling, I did forward rolls and then we all had a go at running in pairs....so much fun. Finally we headed to the white sand dunes for sunset. We finished the day with a delicious Vietnamese seafood dinner and red wine and a bonfire on the beach.
After waking up with a nice hangover we caught our next bus, this time a small minibus to Dalat. The journey was 4 hours and was hilariously bumpy, we were thrown all over the bus as we wove our way from the coast, up through the winding mountain roads that were made from sand, dust, shale, rocks.....basically anything but tarmac. Anyway, we made it and that is where we are now. More updates soon as we plan to move quickly again.
Love you all

Dad Hola, comments on the HCMC page. Lots of love xXx PS the journey sounds like South Yorkshire roads after the winter experience (the one we missed ha ha) - you can lose teeth if you don't clench, you can bruise buttocks if you do!! Hug xXx
