Arrived in Foz yesterday morning after a 16 hour overnight bus beastie, stopped off at some random roadside cafe which was full of what can only be described as 'backwards people' it was like something from a horror film, the buffet was covered in flies and Mosquitos, not had any side effects yet!!

Went to the worlds biggest hydroelectric dam yesterday which was amazing to see and learn about but it all felt like a bunch of sinister propaganda...... They talk about how fab the dam is but omit to tell you how it wiped out 700km sq rainforest, displaced numerous native tribes and destroyed falls bigger than Iguassu falls. On the positive side It provides a hell of a lot of clean energy.

After England v Germany we're going to see the Brazilian side of the falls which we're really excited about then tomorrow we head over to the Argentinian side which is a more up close and personal view than the overall view we'll get today.

Rodrigo, one of the locals has offered to sit down with us tonight and help us plan the next few weeks getting from Foz, through North Argentina into Bolivia. It's set to get pretty cold from then on so we're making the most of the heat whilst we can (by sitting inside watching football!)

stayed up playing drinking games last night with the crazy Europeans in our hostel they are from mainly Sweden, Germany and Switzerland and for the sake of this blog all then will now be referred to as Olga and Haans as we can't remember all their names! Luckily the English supporting side far outweighs the German supporters so we won't get beaten up if we win......!
