I was to travel to Slovenia and Croatia in August and September 2019 on Hayley's recommendation after her 2008 trip. I injured my knee (still not sure how) six weeks before I was scheduled to leave and had to cancel the trip.

In Feberuary 2020 I rebooked for August and September 2020 and well...COVID. In early July 2022 it occured to me that if I didn't go now, another twelve months would go by, particularly as I wanted to travel in late summer/early autumn, before it got too cold.

So i set off on Monday, 15 August at 10:55am from Brisbane international airport with a six hour stopover in Singapore and a nine hour stopover in Munich, which was delayed by an hour and a half. I arrived at Dubrovnik airport on Tuesday 16 August at 05:30pm...ready for a shower.

I travelled by shuttle bus to Ploce Gate in Dubrovik Old Town and after a bit of back and forwarding finally meet up with Irena my Airbnb host at Lucarica 8, Old Town Dubrovnik.
