Pai has been absolutely amazing - the kind of place it would be far too easy to stay for months and months...

We've been staying in an amazing place called the Sun Hut just on the outskirts of town in adorable little huts complete with hammocks, home-made juices and organic food so perfect for plenty of chilling out. Which was very useful to recuperate from out 2-day trekking session. A group of 9 of us set off for 2 days walking in the bush, learning how to build all kinds of everything out of bamboo, bamboo rafting and staying with one of the hill tribes. Although it was pretty tiring it was great to get out of the city and do a bit of exercise for the first time in weeks and to see how people really live away from the tourist industry.

Then we got back in time for the full moon party and lantern festival. Very different to some of the other full moon parties around Thailand, this one focussed on yummy street food, flower offerings being sent down the river and letting off huge paper lanterns and fireworks which we very happily joined in with!
