I'm now about 30 hours and 3 countries into my journey from Cambodia to Australia and very very bored of airports, buses and people in front of me in queues with too much luggage and who don't know how to fill in immigration cards! Sihanoukville is a very strange place! Will and I arrived on Saturday and set off on the back of motorbikes to Victory Beach, the main backpacker area according to the Lonely Planet, only to find...absolutely nothing! The whole area was a bit like a ghost town, complete with a herd of cows roaming the beach and the only other tourists seemed to be shady looking older men with Khmer girlfriends. After the tourist circus of Siem Reap it was really good to have a dose of what Cambodia is really like in the form of Phnom Penh.
