So I am now officially on the next part of my travels, accompanied my Mr Jamie Davies (after a very long wait in Bangkok airport!)

We've been staying in a really nice hotel - hot shower, TV and air con - a bit of luxury compared to the previous places I've been staying! It's amazing how different Bangkok is to KL, there are so many more backpackers and tourists everywhere it's a bit of culture shock when I've spent the last 2 months really standing out in Malaysia. That's probably at least partly because we've only been doing the really touristy things so far - the Grand Palace and Emerald and Reclining Buddha temples and the huge weekend market were we got completely and totoally lost for several hours and still only managed to cover about half of it!

I think that's about all the news so far really, off to Ko Phi Phi for some sun and relaxation now before heading back to Malaysia for the weekend... Lots of photos are waiting to be uploaded, our guide around the grand palace was a bit crazy and very forceful when it came to suggesting what photos to take so there's a large collection waiting for a slightly less dodgy computer than this one...
