Wednesday was WHITE WATER RAFTING DAY!

Lazy morning which was nice for a change...then headed over to the rafting place only to be told it might not even run as they hadnt had enough bookings confirmed as yet.

I was only partially saddened by this fact as it was about -1 degrees at this time and i was questioning why i had thought this such a great idea when i booked (in warm Sydney i might add). However, we went ahead and all fore the best as it was awesome!

Had three great guides and a group of 11 divided into two rafts. We went over about 3 major rapid areas and the rest was just paddling along down the river, we wore so many layers to keep warm, here they are

swimmers, thermal underwear, full body wetsuit, wetsuit jacket, wetsuit vest, windcheater, life jacket, gloves, wetsuit socks and booties. Whew!

Turns out they dont run it if it gets to -2 degrees. it was 0 when i did it. need i say more?!
