Hi there everybody, soooo sorry we havent written for a while, we've been soooo busy...and lazy ha ha, where do we start, lets start with the $350 worth of parking fines I received on Xmas day from sydney council for parkin my van the wrong way around on the street, merry xmas to you to :(on a brighter note we headed back out to the blue mountains after xmas to meet back up with our german freinds, anna and franz, the blue mountains national park is really quite spectcular, pristine views for miles and miles, the first full day we all had a drive out to the jenolan caves , a massive underground cave system which was really impressive, the next day we did the mandatory 3 sisters lookout point and scenic world which is park with cable car rides out across the gorge and the steepest railway in the world, all very impressive stuff and we had gorgeous weather so we were really lucky, Spent 3 days in total here and had the best time, on the 31st we headed back into sydney for the fireworks...........So we dopped the girls off at the botanic gardes at bout 8am in the mornin then me and franz took the vans to my sisters in marrickville where we were parking up for the night, an hour and half later me lyndsey and franz were back at the botanical gardens and came across the BIGGEST que I have ever seen, the que was about 10 people deep and we found the back afetr walkin 2km past the entrance to the gardens, so we called the girls and luckily they were near the front so we walked upto meet them, (not really pushin in that is it?!?). When we were finally alowed in we got a really great spot right on the harbour wall at mrs macquaries point and they only let 3000 people down to this bit so was really lucky for us. The 15 hour wait wasn't too bad but the fireworks were absolutely amazing, well worth waiting for. We even got back to lyndseys before half two as well, everything ran sooo smoothly :)New years day we headed back down to canberra so We said our goodbyes to Lynz, then headed off, we couldn't get a campsite in canberra so we stayed in a hostel in the center which was ideal cos we wanted to have a farewell drink with Anna and Franz, ended up at an irish bar with gr8 live music and took some funny drunken pics on way home...The next mornin we had to say an emotional goodbye to A & F as we had to be in adelaide for the 10th of jan, so that meant alot of driving, the first night we got a great free rest area just before the borcder of NSW, the next day we drove and drove and drove some more and finally got to melbourne, we had a campsite 9km out and had to get public transport into the city but that was ok bcos i didnt like sharing the roads with the trams and funny hook turns where you can only turn right from the left hand lane, dangerous!!!! Melbourne was really good, we took a drive to Ramsey street the first night which is actually alot smaller than it looks, the next day we went into the city on the tram, and amanda dragged me on a guided tour of the MCG (melbourne cricket ground), after a full day of wandering around we came across a film crew filming in central place ( an old part of the city where all the coffee houses are). We tried to get a cofee in a shop right next to where they were filming but the guy told us they were closing, and so we had to do with another one across the street, amanda got a bit angry when she saw people sitting in the shop the guy had just told us was closing until we realised the people sat down we extras in the film and the shop was the main part of the scene being filmed, will have to watch out for this film, its called cental place. The next day we drove on, Great Ocean road was next on the itinerary...............
