Hi all

Arrived in Shanghai just about in one piece, once again a epic journey 24 hours on a overnight sleeper bus hard going and definetly something i have never experienced in my life i used to struggle with a 2 hour car journey. The beds were like sleeping on a rock hence no sleep so throughout the 24 hours. On the plus side got to see many wonderful sights within the bus journey, although our bus driver was crazy driving through thick fog at 80km an hour not good my heart skipped a beat many times as i have found in China they are just crazy and do what they want.

Shanghai is fantastic, the buildings are amazing its so more advanced than Beijing or Xian, plus no pollution a nice change and its Liverpool's sister city makes me feel proud does make me think of back home, it as a tremoundous waterfront which is on a part with the Albert Dock and Pier Head.

Although so far in Shanghai i have had 2 mad moments seen someone getting ran over (she stood up after the accident which is good) and also 2 taxi drivers having a argument one of them had a bar to the other guys head, what was more funny though our taxi drivers reaction to the argument encouraging them to fight, it was like 2 kids in a playground only these were both 30 years old.

In terms of things to do in Shanghai still getting my bearings, went to the fake market yesterday always good trying to knock prices down its like a victory when you get the lowest price when your arguing over 10 pence you know your right into the whole cultural experience of shopping in China trying to barter is great fun it is like a morale victory if you get it 10p cheaper.

Tonight were going out on a bit of a pub crawl, going to get the waterfront in it's supposed to be the highlight of Shanghai can't wait.

I feel that there is not going to be much to do in Shanghai as it doesn't have as many historical places to visit as the other 2. Will probably go to the expo building, arty centre and musem, but its kind of nice to be in a more western society just for a bit of change.

Not sure were we are off to next just gonna rock up to the next place and see what happens.
