Wednesday morning, I don't think I've ever seen Nigel so excited! He was like a little kid at…well…at Disneyland! :P We sprung out of bed at 6:30AM, & despite the fact that I was still rather blocked up & phlegmy (yes, I thought you'd like to know that :P) I was ready & raring to go! We were the first ones down & brekky, & pretty much the first ones at the entrance gate too. We got there a few minutes before it opened & ran through the gates at 8:00AM, Nigel's eyes as wide as saucers as the Disney castle came into view.
We walked down Main Street, with the other few overly enthusiastic early risers (because we stayed at the park we got to have entry to the Magic Kingdom 2 hours before everyone else, which is a big BIG bonus!), & headed straight to Fantasy Land to one of my all time favourite rides, Peter Pan's Flight. We saw Nanna & flew over London in our big shop with all the little lights twinkling below. And not a line in site! We went straight onto the carousel, the spinning teacups, & the Dumbo flying elephant ride, then headed over to Tomorrow Land where I kicked Nigel's butt at the Buzz Lightyear ride, where you use a little laser gun to shoot targets as you help Buzz fight the evil Emporer Zurg. At the end you can see how many point you got & of course, it's not about winning, it's just about having fun…but I did win!! hehe :P Despite that Nigel still said it was one of his favourite rides.
We did the star wars star tours ride & then headed back to Fantasy Land to the Pinocchio & the Snow White ride, as well as It's a Small World. Then later in the day we went to Adventure Land to the Indiana Jones ride where I conquered my fear of big, scary rollercoasters & went on my first loop-the-loop ever!! :D My eyes were pretty tightly shut the whole time, but all in all…it wasn't so bad! We also saw a really cool 3D movie featuring Michael Jackson as Captain EO who saves the day by defeating bad guys with the power of dance and music. It was first release in the early 80s as one of the first displays of 3D film & it's a truly awesome display of mullets, high cut leotards, & awesome dance moves! Of course, the only problem we ran into is that a lot of the shows or rides that have speaking in them are in French, but they actually manage to combine some French & English pretty well most of the time so you have a good idea of what's going on.
In the evening we waited eagerly at the side of the road for the parade to come by & waved enthusiastically along with all the 5 year olds at Mickey, Minnie, & all the rest of the Disney characters as they came by on their floats, with all my favourite Disney songs playing (well…actually, all Disney songs are my favourite Disney songs so that's not too hard). Then we had dinner at Plant Hollywood in the Disney Village before collapsing into bed, all tuckered out!
