It's kinda hard to believe it's almost a month since I left Australia…my how time flies! Have had a wonderful time the past few days & managed to get out & about to see a bit more of the southern coast of France. On Friday I set out for Monaco early in the morning, but after having already purchased a train ticket I found I could see no trains scheduled until the evening. Kelly flies back to Ireland today, & I will be very sad to see her go :( We are planning on getting her a taxi to the airport & hoping that the taxi driver will be able to help her to the check in desk with her bags, as she can't carry anything on her back right now. Breakfast was amazing (once again!! Plain old cereal at the hostel is gonna seem mighty boring after this special treatment :P), & our morning visit to the hospital for Kelly's re-dress...

I woke up early this morning, determined to get out & see Nice after having spent most of the previous day perusing the local hospital! I went down for breakfast (which is included at our hotel - oh my goodness, could it get any more amazing??), and oh my goodness…more raptures! More delight! A full hot buffet breakfast, complete with eggs, bacon, fresh fruits, mini pain au chocolat - the works!! :D I couldn't wipe the smile off my face! What a delightful...

More bad news I'm afraid…first of all just let me say that we are both OK, but unfortunately we have spent the better part of the day at the hospital today. Kelly was badly burnt on her back this morning when she turned the shower on & it spurted out scalding hot water. She had checked the temperature of the water prior to that by running it out the tap into the bath, but when she flicked the switch to make it come out of the shower head instead, it came ...

Today we are in transit - taking the train from Barcelona to Figueres, from Figueres to Montpellier, then from Montpellier to Nice! It's about a 9 hour journey all up, but it's beautiful riding on the train, watching the amazing Spanish & French countryside pass us by. I must say I'm rather relieved to be heading back to France where my linguistic skills are a little more satisfactory…having only spent a week in Spain there really wasn't much time to gras...
