today went for a wonder in victoria park (where the 'get off teh road!' scene was filmed-LOTR) didn't find teh spot, though we did get to teh very top look out place with amazing views over wellington. the city just sort of nestles in the hills surrounding teh bay. cought the afternoon ferry and made our statly way to teh south island. it takes as long to get there as it does to cross teh channel. spent yesterday on a bus. through absolutely beautiful scenery.
