So we arrived at Phnom Penh at around 7am and straight away we made sure we booked our Visa's for Vietnam, our bus to Vietnam and our trips while we were staying in Phnom Penh. After all that was booked a paid for we went up to bed for a couple of hours as we never got a lot of sleep on the bus. We then got up about 11am, had brekky and jumped on a Tuc-Tuc around the streets to see what was about. We went to the markets and there was chickens everywhere, people waiting for us to buy a chicken to get it's head chopped off. We found a little shopping centre and had a little browse around that and finding a cinema on the top floor. We bought a ticket to watch Resident Evil 3D at 5pm so had a couple of hours to kill. We then went on to the Internet for an hour, chilled out before heading to the Cinema. We then went for dinner down by the river which was quite busy and seemed like a lot going on. After dinner we headed back to go to sleep as we were knackered.
The next morning we got up and went on our trip we booked to the Killing Fields and the Prison/Museum. We headed off about 11am on the Tuc-Tuc, it took about half an hour to get to the Killing Fields. As you walked through the gates you had to pay $5 for the tour which was cheap. Then they gave you a map, a headset and a remote that looked like a calculater, so basically each bit of the Killing Field had a number tagged from 1-19. When you get to that spot, you type in the number on the remote and a narrator talks to you about what happened in that part of the Field as you walk round. Pretty interesting but cruel stuff which was going on 37 years ago. Cambodian's killing there own people. After we had finished there the Tuc-Tuc man took us to a Prison/Museum where they would go before being lead to the Killing Fields, it was pretty boring herre so we didn't stay too long before heading back to the Hotel. I went for a jog while Matty watched a film for a couple of hours before heading out. We went out to watch Spurs Vs Chelsea as they played a lot of football on the TV over here. We had dinner while watching it, after a few hours we headed back as there weren't a lot going on. We had to be up to catch the bus to Vietnam the next morning....Onto Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City...
