It was the morning for our flight to Buenos Aires and we got all packed up and said bye to all the Hostel Inn staff as we were the best residents for the past 2 weeks. Jump in the taxi to the Airport ready for our 12.10pm flight to BA. Got to the airport at about 10.10am and had a look to see if our plane was ready for checking in, but never saw our flight on the board. I had a look at our Itinery to make sure i had the right time, only to see that our flight was at 10.15am and landed at 12.10pm...oops! So we missed that flight and had to get the next flight which was a 2.20pm so we had a few hours to waste so we had sit in the sun out the front of Airport. Come in after about half an hour and watch a footy game that they were showing at the airport in the cafeteria. We knew a boy called Daniel from Germany but he can speak English at our Hostel which was getting the flight that we were on so bumped into him when he got to the airport. He's quite strange but one of the funniest people I have ever met in my life, just when he says stuff with he's ascent. We were all sitting in this cafeteria when this little girl must have been 17 years old, quite a bit smaller than me, very pretty and had the biggest most perfect boobies you could ever see, and the good thing about this was that she was wearing a low cut top so we all had a great view. What made it even better she needed something from her suitcase so down she went to pick something out and bang they were literally out, Amazing!!!
After we arrived in Buenos Aires, got our bags and all shared a taxi to the hostel that we had pre booked, Milhouse Hostel. Got in the door and straight away the staff were really really friendly like they couldnt wait to help you. The hostel was great, people seemed pretty friendly and looked to be a great start. Got in our room and there were 2 scouce people in there. James and Hannah, straight away we shook there hands and said hello. And for the next few days we were like a family, went most places together, loads of banter which was so funny at times. Went out together on the night times, played alot of drinking games and just had an amazing 2 days before they left to carry on the travels.
Every night there was a party at either our Hostel or the other Milhouse Hostel which was only a 2 minute walk round the corner. Then after that you go onto a club with everyone if you wanted to. Just a really good set up. We could see why they called in party town. The music was good.
Every Friday there is a football tournement just a cab ride away that we had a team prepared for. We got there with our team and there was a few people from our Hostel was there aswell with there teams. Most of the people in our little league was english anyway. I over heard one of the girls speaking that the first team we played had 2 Scunthorpe players or something. The 2 players were ok, but nothing special. We lost 3-1 to them. Our second game we played some lads from the Hostel which we wanted to beat and with a few one, two's from me and Matt up front we beat them 8-2. We had to win the last game against the worst team in our group to go into the final but they scored in the last minute to make it 2-2 so we got knocked out but overall it was a brilliant evening and a good laugh. So we got the tube back to the hostel, got changed and had dinner and went out to the party.
After a few days of seeing bits of the town and drinking alot we met these 2 girls from north London Debbie and Rosa. They asked if we wanted to go on a bike ride with them to La Boca which is a quite run down area. So we obliged as we never had anything planned and went on the ride. The bikes wasnt too bad but got you there and back. I tried a bunnyhop and the arch of the wheel went all funny and wouldn't go round after that. i fixed it after a little bit of DIY. Drove carefully from then on. As we got into La Boca we parked our bikes up and wrapped it around a lampost with the lock that they give to you. We got a little hungry so we found a restraunt to eat at. We sat down and ordered what everyone wanted, chilled out for a bit as we watched the tango that a couple put on for us in the restraunt. When we asked for the bill it was alot more expensive than what we thought it would be. As Daniel could speak spanish he read the bill and basically they charged us AR$6pp to sit in the restraunt even though only 2 of us ate out of 5. They charged us for the bread they brought over which they give to you for ordering something in there restraunt. So we put down the money for the food and drinks and didnt pay for the bread or for the tips. Then as we got down the road about 3 of the staff came running out and asked us for the rest of the money, we argued it, so they got the police involved which were standing just across the street. The police seemed to be our side sort of and ended up paying a bit more off the bill but not all of it. After all this finished we had a little look around the market before heading back to the Hostel as we had to have to bikes back for 7pm and we didnt have a clue how to get back, just a little crappy map to follow. But with 15 minutes spare we got back eventually. It was a good day out for all and a good way to see the city.
On Sunday a couple we met our Hostel (Clodagh and Barry) which was going to the Boca Juniors Vs Tigres game which is meant to be amazing to go to as the crowd goes wild. Ps Boca are top of the league and Tigres and 3rd so the game could be tight. He asked us if we fancied it and we thought we wont be coming back here so might aswell experience it. Rosa and Debbie wanted to come but as Barry had pre booked the tickets they couldn't. So later that afternoon me, Matt, Barry and Clodagh got on a little mini-bus to the match but first stopped at a little Restraunt outside the ground where they laid on a little bit of food a free booze. I stuck to the water and Matt stuck to the pepsi while Baz and Clo tucked into the beer as we were a little tired and hungover from the previous night. After a couple of hours there we walked round the ground, got to out standing spot and waited for the game to kick off as Boca reserves were playing before the proper game. As the game was getting closer to kick off you could see the ground get more and more packed which brought alot more atmosphere to the stadium. After a little bit into the game the crowd was so loud and the drums were banging while every person in the stadium was jumping in the air, crazy! It looked like a jumping mexican wave. The horrible thing about it was that the away fans were above us and you see spit flying down, and cups full of wee, luckily we were under the stand but it was funny seeing some people get hit. They would have been pissed wahay!! (bad joke) At the end of the game the final score was Boca 1-0 Tigres, but the only horrible thing about after the game was that we had to wait around 40 minutes for the Tigre fans to exit the stadium before they let the Boca fans out as they didnt want no trouble kicking off, plus it was absolutly freezing. We couldnt wait to get back to the Hostel and meet Dan, the girls, and all go out for dinner, Barry and Clodagh joined us aswell which was great, felt like a big family dinner. After the meal me, Deb, Rosa, Matt and Dan stopped off in a bar and had a cheeky Jaggerbomb each to get us going before bed.
Over the next few days Me, Debbie, Rosa, Matt and Dan took bikes out again and decided to visit the Cerementry of all the people i dont really know about but it was quite a nice day. What made the day was when Dan started flicking cat food at Debbie so Debbie ran off, Dan being Dan chased her through the park but not realising the sprinklers were on, lost he's footing and slipped on the grass. Well we have never laughed so hard in our lives and the he comes over afterwards and says 's*** Man' in he's funny German acsent. So after a spot of lunch we got back on our bikes and had a nice stroll back to the hostel. That night the girls, Dan, Baz and Clo and us went to a club where they were playing cheesy music so me and Matt were in our element throwing some crazy shapes on the dance floor. Overall a really good night.
The next day it was Dans last day before heading back to Germany to be a son as he used to say (whatever that meant). The same day the girls asked me and Matty if we wanted to go to Cordoba with them for 4 nights for the October Fest and Beer Festival. So we Obliged and put Australia on hold for another week. So after waving Dan off and hugs all round for him as we dont think we would meet another person like him. We all had a beer and went to bed ready for our 10 hour bus trip the next night to Cordoba....
