So tired today, on my third coffee this morning and i dont drink coffee!!! We check out of hostel in 30 mins in Singapore but dont fly to Darwin until tonight!!! We have thunder and lightning and torrential rain (not likiely to stop anytime soon) feels like home lol!!! We have had such an amazing time in Singapore, due to our amazing guide Rosalyn (family member) and Niel (Rosalyn's Son). First evening we arrived we just explored the area around hostel (Little India), and we were very adventerous with food (McDonald's). Yesterday Rosalyn came to visit our hostel which has an amazing rooftop garden. We then took the Singapore Original Tour bus around the city! Singapore is such a small city which you could walk around if it were'nt so hot! We hopped off the bus at Merlion Park and got amazing pictures of the harbour, financial area and the Merlion fountain! Then thunder and lightning and a quick downpour we managed to get Starbucks under a bridge out of the rain. We then hopped back on bus to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch and picked up a Hard Rock Cafe Bear for Auntie M, then walked the length of Orchard Road, where there are so many shopping malls (lost on us backpackers that are saving our money for the rest of our trip). We then dressed for evening dinner with Rosalyn and Niel, arrived forty minutes late as the bus stopped at 6.30pm we then caught a taxi to Niels apartment at the Harbour. Amazing flat with stunning views of the Harbour on the 35th floor. Aviva building next door to his apartment, at one point didn't think Steve would be joining me in Darwin. Steve loved Singapore since he stepped off the plane. I can see him living here, great for holidays, lol! We then went to the famous Raffles Hotel for a Singapore Sling (mine was a non alcoholic cocktail) in the Long bar. Great atmosphere! They provide monkey nuts on the tables and the tradition there is to put the shells on the floor, only did it once didn't want to get in the habit of throwing litter on the floor, lol! We then had an amazing meal at Indochine down at the harbour, gorgeous meal, stunning views and great entertainment. Singapore is amazing at night, every building is lit up. Me and Steve are very grateful for our evening courtesy of Niel. We have seen so much of Singapore in one day courtesy of Rosalyn, we are very grateful, we hope to meet up with her again in Sydney! Sad to leave Asia, might be helpful though, noticed im speaking in broken english! So excited to see Australia!!! Here we come!!!
