We arrived In Anjuna, Goa just over a week and half ago..it was 8am and raining like mad..we had been on the bumpiest 12 hours bus journey and our rucksacks felt like we had boulders in them....in all we felt crap! and our first thoughts of anjuna were..'where's the beach??' however after a cold shower (no such thing as hot shower!!) and e few zzzz's later we felt a bit better about things. as with all things in India.. Anjuna was not how we expected...books do not give an accurate feel of places. And to top it off it was monsoon...great!!! we had arrived in India a lot earlier than planned so the weather was not as planned. Anjuna grew in me very quickly and I actually quite like it now. We went to an Indian nightclub that played our music.. amazing...they all dances in the mirrors...very strange as I'd hate to see myself dancing! and the fashion is very different..obviously...but we had a great night anyway. we've also been to Baga, Calungute and Candolim which are all nearby resorts... they have a few more bars, shops etc. In all though it's very quiet here as it's not the season for another few weeks at least. We also met a few more tourists and hitched a ride on the back of their bikes which was good..so we saw a bit more of the area. we're going to get a scooter ourselves soon. it's the only way to see everything really and it keeps you cool too!
