Day 2 of Edinburgh... After we got a little midday wine tipsy yesterday we headed up to the castle. It was fantastic, even though the walk up the hills were pretty intense. We spent awhile up there taking copious amounts of pictures. We also just walked around old town for a bit. Tired as all he'll after our tours we took a nap, grabbed some food, got ready and headed out for the pub crawl.
We were told to meet upstairs in the dining room... Not true. The crawl was supposed to leave at 9 and around 915, the 7 of us waiting around found out it had left from reception instead. We tried finding them to meet up with but it didn't work for a good 2 hours. We call ourselves the original 7 and it was 4 American girls, 2 Swiss guys, and one male Aussie. We had a great time just us 7 and ended up running into the crawl at the Oz bar. They were decent, it was mainly the hostel employees so that was interesting.
Aussie ended up buying us shots... Twice. It was a decent night, nowhere near the caliber of fun in Ireland though which is sad. Top place is still Galway, I'm planning on living my years there :) love it!
This morning we went on a guided walking tour around Edinburgh which was very interesting... Took many pictures of the gorgeous scenery. Found out we could have been getting discounts on food this whole time....Guh lame. Tonight were going on a haunted graveyard tour!! City of the dead here we come!! It's creepy how many accounts of poltergeist sightings there have been here and people who go into the graveyard at night have been reported to fainting, passing out, coming to and having scratches, cuts, broken bones, and bruises. Or people walk through and come out bruised and cut without passing out... If you don't believe in ghosts, you're mistaken and I'd watch your back if I were you ;)
We're having a great time, I'm already homesick for Ireland :(
Bus to London tomorrow night... 10pm to 6am, so that takes care of our accommodation for tomorrow night :)
