Day 122 - 125: after a week in Bondi we moved into Sydney city centre. the hostel is in a great location but apart from that it's got nothing nice about it! We spent our first few days exploring the city. We walked along the harbour front and seen the opera house and the harbour bridge, we went to the botanic gardens and explored kings cross (the red light district). We spent an evening in darling harbour and watched the warm up fireworks for nye. We also caught a ferry over to manly beach and got some good views of the harbour from the ferry.

Day 126: on new years eve we decided to back to Bondi to make up for Christmas day. We had a picnic on the beach with a couple of drinks. We then made our way back to the city, we had a few drinks in our room before heading out to a bar. We stayed there till about 10 and then walked down towards the harbour, we didn't think we would get any view of the harbour or the fireworks because so many people had got up early in the morning to queue and get a good spot but we managed to get right Down to the waters edge and was nearly underneath the bridge, we could even see the opera house. The fireworks were amazing! It took us hours to get to the bar because there was so many people! We had a couple more drinks in the bar and then called it a night!

Day 127 - 129: these next couple of days we didn't do too much. We walked across the harbour bridge and got a picnic lunch in one of the parks, we spent a day at darling harbour and the fish Market, and relaxed in the botanic gardens.

Day 130: today was our best day in Sydney! We took a train out into the suburbs and met up with two friends we had met in cusco, Peru. They picked us up from the train station and took us the feather dale wildlife park. The wildlife park was great, we could fed and touch the animals, we got our photo taken with a koala bears and fed some kangaroos. After the wildlife park Lino and Tatiana drove us out to the blue mountains, which is very scenic and our first glimpse at the Australian outback. We stopped for some lunch at a little pizza place in a small town. Then they drove us through the country side to a big cave system, so explored here for a while and had a drink in the hotel there. They then drove us the three hour journey back to Sydney and even treated us to dinner! Lino and Tatiana are our hero's!

Day 131: today wasn't such a good day, we managed to sleep through our alarm and missed bus our bus up the coast. We had to shell out the cash to catch the train and then a taxi up to the surf camp spot X we are staying at!
