We are visiting the village of Edam today where the legendary cheese is made and what a charming village it is. We get to cycle around the village on "granny" bikes which have no brakes on the handlebars, you simply pedal backwards to stop. Cue numerous (hilarious) accidents, particularly by moi, I think I had three crashes.The bike ride was such a laugh and was a really good way to see the village. So if you ever want to cycle around Edam, I refer you to Bijk a Dijk (yes you did read that correctly!).Also went to see how the famous cheese is made and how clogs are made.I'm already regretting my decision not to buy the pink clogs, they were quite fabulous!
