9th june our first day without jackie which was really strange! we had a morning flight to phuket, where we then head straight for phi phi ... the boat journey was lovely and the sun was blazing, a sign of good weather ahead from the start of the week! :) after a traumatic time finding a place to stay, and lugging our luggage around, on and off taxi boats (which was interesting to say the least) we finally found a place to stay! it was right on the beach and fair...

31st may we had breakfast in vang vieng, i finally got to have cornflakes and milk which i was so chuffed about! :) i think the waiter thought i was a complete looney!! we then had our bus journey to luang prabang, it was a long and very windy journey and i did not manage to get any sleep on the bus so was quite grumpy. (shock) we arrived in luang prabang early evening and head straight out to book up the things we wanted to do and have some food! i tried a buf...

28th mayearly start for bus journey from hell ...... i spent some serious time with my head over a carrier bag! :( ... the roads were windy and bumpy the whole way!! 15 hrs over the border to laos where we spent a night in pak xan.. immediately noticed the seriously high amount of bugs and things here compared to vietnam!! eek!! i had a spider in my bed that night, which i obviously was not impressd with! also a totally different feel to the place to vietnam! 29...

23rd may we left hoi an on a bus to hue, then heading straight for a motorbike tour of the city....we ate lunch at a nunnery,saw the perfume river, visited the rice museum where an 80-odd yr old legend of a lady taught us about the life cycle of rice, we visited a pagoda and saw chanting monks.. but i have to say the highlight was when i burned my leg on the exhaust of the bike which is only just healing a week later!!!! though once id got over the fear of the bu...
