Well here I am in yet another Australian state, this time Adelaide! After the over night flight here there's nothing I wanted more than to get into bed and fall asleep...however thats not what Charli's friend Del had in mind! She kindly met us at the airport at the crazy time of 7.30 and took us to a place called Central Market...and WOW what a place  Its an undercover food and veg market with the most amazing selection of everything....it also came with such a good vibe and there was certainly a buzz to that place...we spent about half an hour checking out all the food and the delights that we could treat ourselves to. The smell and the ambience was unreal....and yes I left with quite a lot of purchases including my favourite - green olives in garlice and chilli - yummmy yum yum.....I couldve spent hours here looking and testing everything I could get my hands on!!
Next stop was Gleneg - a lovely spot by the seaside with a scattering of shops, bars and restaurants. This is where our hostel was and what a fantastic place for it to be too! Again its another spot by the water where you can wake up and hear the sea crashing on the beach. I think it was Bill Bryson that said its hard not to love Australia when every major city is based around a water way or an ocean - he certainly wasnt lying!! After checking in and showering (oooh it was soo nice to jump in that shower after our night flight!) we were met again by Del who took us upto the hills in Adelaide. Our first stop was a little organic food shop (hmmm me thinks this city might be famous for its food!!). Myself and Charli got rather excited here and spent most of the time running around shooting Lady Finger bananas at each other - you wouldve done the same too I promise! The shop assistant found us rather entertianing and let us keep the bananas - yum again!! Next off was the most amazing drive through the hills were Charli spotted our first sighting of a kangaroo - it was so cute hopping around up the hills. We think it left its girlfriend at the bottom as there was another Kangaroo looking rather lost!
From the hills we drove to a gorgeous little beach to watch the sun set. I never expected a place to be so peaceful and tranquil as this beach was. It was so nice just taking time away from the hussle and bustle of everything from the previous few days. Once I get the pictures up you will see what I mean.....
Our final stop of the day was Del's pub - a little pub that sold some very nice beer and then it was back to Del's to cook up some of the lovely food that had been purchased that morning. It had been a very long night and day and as soon as my head hit the pillow that night I was gone with the faries!!
The last few days have been great. I didnt know what to expect from Adelaide. I had heard a few reviews but nothing worth taking notice of..I like this place alot and it does have so much to offer.
Its almost time to pack up our bags again and city hop to Melbourne but before we leave here we have one more thing to do...Yes people, tts time to get the party started once again and you all know what I mean.................
