Our hotel - grand hotel de poste - is a 19th century building. Salon is a commune village in the south of France - population 45,000. The place where nostradamus spent his last years and was buried. The town lies within its circuit of walls. The town also has a famous air base. Arrived monday morning - lots of shops are closed on Monday - never mind - walked around the town and got a feel of its inhabitants -lots of young people around like a small country town...

Its 8pm and we r sitting outside on our terrace watching the lights come up around saint paul - very calming

Our last day was spent going to the local church - Saint Jaques for sunday mass - beautiful local church - lit some candles for good luck. Then visited Foundation Maeght - a groovy musuem situated in the hills and with paintings, sculptures from past and present. Saw picasso, andy warhol, mark rothko and very unique sculptures
