We arrived at Darwin at about 2am in the morning and checked into a hostel, Panda volunteering to go in the mixed dorm as there was only 4 beds in the other room!

The first day was pretty much a lazy one by the pool, Panda and Jo took a stroll around the town and along the beach, Panda on the hunt for crocodiles the whole way! While we was by the pool we got approached and told anout a pub quiz, which we couldn't say no to! So that evening we headed to the 'Vic' to find that wine was only $3 ( 1 pound 50) and so the night was off to a good start. At the end of each round there was a game to win extra points, Jo serenaded us with her Vaceroo (a didgerdo made out of a hoover) none the less we won the round as it was the person who got the loudest cheer at the end who won! Then Thomas had to collect random things from the audience, we didnt win though as we didnt have any mens pants, and he wasn't allowed to use his own. The final round was a Madonna round and with Jordan at our table we was sure not to loose. Overall we came 3rd in the quiz and won a $25 tab behind the bar, lets just say it was a very messy night after that.

The next day was a shock to the system when we was kicked out of our room at 10am! We just lounged around by the pool for the day to get ready for our flight which was at 3:20 am the next morning. We headed to the airport at about 10pm and started our long night in the airport like true backpackers. While we was waiting in the airport the skies decided to open and a massive storm started. All of the flights were being grounded and we was beginning to think that it was going to be a very long night indeed. However we was lucky and our flight took off on time.
