The first day we arrived in Melaka we found our hostel, dumped our stuff and headed out to explore. First stop was the shopping mall where Jordan was in heaven as there was shoe shops everywhere! After a spot of dinner we headed to the Chinese market in Jonker street. It was good with lots of bargains but not as Chinesey as we thought it would be! After our long, stressful walk we found a bar with live singing, but to Jos disappointment she couldn't get up and serenade us with her beautiful voice. You will be disappointed to hear that there are no exciting stories of our evenings in Melaka as there was a 12am curfew at the hostel.
The next day was very exciting, we had to go and book our coach tickets to Singapore, we had to go to the coach station which was an hour away!! That rook up most of our day so we went for a dip in the local pool in the afternoon. The pool had strict rules that men had to wear tight trunks, not boardies. So Tom had to hire some tighty whities from the pool, lets just say our Thomas looked ravisihing in the shorts.
Our last day in Melaka just poured with rain, so for the morning we went back to another shopping centre. The weather in the afternoon was a bit better so Tom, Jo and Katherine went to find the post office and Jordan remained in paradise, the shopping centre. Panda went on a small trek around the Dutch trail which basically took you around the historical sites in Melaka, ruins and rocks which Panda's mum would have loved.
