Hi folks, been in Cambodia for a week.. i think, starting to get really hard to remember what day it is. Much poorer counrty here, think of anywhere we've been so far this is the place i've felt a bit of a culture shock, especially driving through the countryside. The people here are very nice though, and haven't had any problems. Would say its more expensive too. We spent a few days in Phon Penh, went to the killing field, palace and the tuol sleng museum, very interesting, very sad. Have loads of pics, but internet connection here is painstakingly slow, so will wait till back in thailand to upload.
Stayed in quite a cool place on the lake, lots of hamocks, cheap beer.... We arrived in Sihanoukville 3 days ago, its a beach resort, but we were spoiled in Vietnam, not as clean or pretty. We're at a beach party the other nite, never drinking Mekong whiskey again, ruff, ruff, also i wanted to try the fire throwing (was convinced i would be great at it), so Liddell's on watch at full moon party so i don't end up frying thinking i'm a fire starter...mekong whiskey bad.
Just waiting for nite bus to go to Siem Reap, going to spend a couple of days then head back to Thailand, full moon party next Thursday...going to be messy
Loads of luv back home
