Campers are often faced with challenging situations. Some of them involve receiving help from others. This activity was one of those for many of the campers. It was interesting to see which ones actually held their hand out or received one from a friend, and which ones just decided to struggle on even when a friend was so close. Unlikely teams were formed. One young camper had it in his mind that his good friend would be his partner even though he was probably tired from climbing with another good friend. He eventually accept a younger girl as his climbing partner. When they finished, he exclaimed that she was the best partner ever and he would choose her if they climbed Jacob's Ladder a second time.
