Hey Guys & Gals,
This site is great! Can you imagine going through all this with everyone after you got back?! You would need another six months. What a great way to keep current! We just returned from a short stint in New Brunswick but your photos & blogs are seeding a travel bug in us. We're jealous. Can't wait to sit around the Loon Lake fire pit & get some in person story telling. I heard a rumor about flights & I'd really like to hear all versions of this one from each of you. Looks & sounds like you are all having a great time. Keep updating us, we are travelling vicariously through all of you.
Take Care!

Hi, what a wonderful experience for your family, hope all keeps going well and you don't encounter any of the fires raging in Greece. Take care, Love.

Hey, looks like an awesome trip so far!!! I know at this time of year, the excitement of going back to teach is not in the air for you but I promise that I will bring the spirit of "The Lewis" to FX so that the kids of the future can still have that gift that all children of this world deserve. Keep the travels up and I wish the best for you and the family. I would have invited you to my wedding but you are gone so I guess it leaves Delpercio and Stauffer to themselves.
Susie
Hi guys, It sounds like you are all having a wonderful time. We are back from our all too short holiday in Nova Scotia. Julia absolutely loved swimming in the ocean. Ahhhh! She really is part Maritimer. We missed you all at the wedding last week. It was very nice and Catherine was very beautiful. Maybe we can find a way to get you a pic or two. We think of you lots and I love reading about your wonderful adventure. Love Susie p.s. We had frost last night. YUCK!

I'll keep this one short (as best I can),
1. I'm mixed with sorrow (that I forgot to tell you) and pride (that you did go to Wieliczka!).
2. I'm glad you enjoyed some of the selections I gave you; accentuates the pride...
3. Sadly, I can't remember the comment about the 'milk' bar, if you could remind me (confused)...
4. And lastly, unbelievably happy that you could see part of the world that makes me stand tall, and you got all the spelling and background of the stories right (impressed AND proud) so much so that all I keep telling people is "check it out, Mrs. Lewis is in Poland with her family right now!"
Enjoy it all, as I'm sure you will.

Hi. I'm enjoying your trip as it brings back memories of 3 years ago when we were in Poland. The salt mine near Krakow is definitely worth seeing but get there early as there can be long line ups. Auchwitz is also close as someone else mentioned.

Hoi. Een biertje per stad elke dag dronken !!!!!! waar moet dat heen! Groetjes Joris

Glad to hear you liked Malbork, good luck in Krakow...make sure you hear the trumpeter from St Mary's basilica playing the hejnal. Also I can't remember if you were planning to visit the salt mine in Wieliczka....well worth the visit.

What?! Are you kidding me?? I was just kidding about all of you going to Poland, but I'm so happy that you are there. It says that you are in Warsaw right now, and I hope you make it to Krakow. It's by far the nicest city in the whole country, and it has the largest city square in Europe; it's truly massive. 'Piwo' is a word I'm sure you're familiar with, but other fare that is a must: "pivo z sockem" (beer with syrup), "lech" or "tyskie" is prolly the best brew, "zapiekanki" (a pizza bread type thing without the sauce), "veeshnewvka" (a sherry type drink), smoked "oscypek" (highland cheese), and a traditional meal is potatoes (of course), "zhabove" (delicious, delicious, pork chops) with a "rosoo" starter (chicken soup). Don't worry, I wrote everything phonetically in English to make the transition easier....As far as places to see, well, I won't get ya before ya leave Warsaw, but if ya make it to Krakow, (and a trip to Poland without Krakow is just wrong) "Alchemia" is a phenomenal bar at "Stary Rynek" (the old square) that shows a really cool glimpse into Polish type homes upstairs, with one hell of a movie house/knights of the round table mix basement. The "Vavel" is also a must as the old capital castle. Auchwitz is nearby Krakow, and Zakopane a small mountain town is cool to see some highland folk in their everyday life. Ok, sorry to have taken up so much space, if there's any questions, you have my email Mrs. Lewis & Co. ...and if you disregard this altogether, just know you made a Polish boy very excited just by going there. Dowidzenia (Goodbye)
