Hey you two.. i am so sorry that your experience of Oz has not been a good one.... i know what the motorways and that are like there and the HUGE lorries that drink frantically along! i was scared in a campervan let alone a tandem. I do think its a real shame that you didn't make it to places like fraser island and so forth.. even if you got the bus there and back it is seriously worth it (even though i know your trip is about cycling) well on the positive.. i am nearly 100% sure that NZ will be a great start and i guarantee you will love cycling around in the south island inparticular.. surrounded by stunnin scenary and not many cars or people for that matter.. very picturesque... your tent will come in very handy! people are fabulous and there are some really funny lil odd towns... i am sure you will end up spendind loads of time there. anyways good luck and sorry that oz has brought a bit of disappointment... but be positive.. we all think what your doing is amazing and very brave too.. if only all of us had the guts to get on a tandem and cycle the world!

Happy New Year to you both. Thanks for the lovely card for Joshua it was great to hear from you both. Alls well here, we are a proper little family now with Joshua growing and changing everyday. I can't beleive he'll be 7 weeks old tomorrow and sometimes he really is a mini Jonny. He is certainly keeping us busy. The weather here has been crazy with really strong winds mosy days, Toms hoping to get out on the kite at the weekend. Well Jonny will remember us playing 'Risk' as kids, it used to be a real laugh and when Tom and I were travelling, we had Risk in french so we had to translate the cards before working out what your mission was. I think its one of them good travelling games. Well I am sure New Zealand is going to be great for you, Hope you have a good flight there and enjoy the cycling, its supposed to be great for it, and there are also some amazing walks if you get up in the mountains I am told. And Europe is fantastic to travel in! We are thinking of you, Lots of Love, Mel, Tom, Joshua and Winston

WOW.. you look gorgeous and having such an awesome time!! god wish i was still in sydney .. bring back all the memories.. are you staying in hostels? have you met many people? do it as there is were i met some of my best mates ( english) but awesome.... where you off to next? if you havent already booked any trips try wicked travel in ithink byron bay.... they did the best deals and the nicest stuff ( boats on the whitsundays tour) be careful as they will try and rip you.. theres one called wings.. i went on the one up from that really ncie with jacuzzi cant remember the name though! anwyays have an awesome time in OZ .. keep me updated love looking at your site! Heya guys, Hope all is good over there. New York amazing. Ice Skated in Central Park on Christmas Day. New Year in Falmouth not too bad either. Paddled yesterday from Truro out to Loe Beach, saw lots of windsurfers (weather bad - good waves though to play in for the sea boats) which reminded me of you Jonny!
