13/3 - up at 6am still pitch black outside, freezing cold and it was raining. Just the thought of getting out of the tent and my warm sleeping bag was a stuggle....but we got up and were ready and rearing to go! met our guides and 6.30am and drove to Milford sound were the Mitre peak is (the highest mountain that comes straight out of the water. Once we got through the Homer tunnel the sun was shinning and it turned out to be a fantastic day. We had double kayaks and this time it was my turn to be at the front.....hahahah It was a great day weather held out and we seen some seals and amazing waterfalls!! Money well spent.
