Today we learnt a valuable lesson - always book accomodation over the weekend. We had done our normal booking over 2 nights incase we didn't like the place and had decided that we were going to move to Nomads where Amber and Tom were staying. But Nomads had no room, our current hostel had no room and neither did most of the hostels around. Finally we managed to book one night at Backpackers Inn until we can get into Nomads tomorrow. Its no wonder all the surfers...

Today we explored Byron Bay and then headed to the beach with Amber and Tom. Features of Byron: - It has it's own hippy corner - Long haired people carrying surfboards (But do you even surf bro?!) - Long haired people CARRYING skateboards (But do you even board bro?!) - Long haired people carrying guitars/banjos/ukuleles (But do you even pick bro?!) Making the most of the free equipment before we left, we (the gang) decided to hire out some kayaks today as we were told you could see koalas on the creek of the local park. THEY LIED TO US!!!!!! Although we did get to show off our tandem kayaking skills (The 8mile sea kayak in Croatia a few years ago put us in good form!). Today we took a trip to Jetty Beach with was only a 10 minute walk from our hostel. Submersing ourselves in the sea was the only way to get rid of the vivid goon hangover. Equipment at the hostel was free of charge so we decided to take some of the body boards and a surf board down into the waves. Surfing is HARD. Today was our last day in Sydney so we had lots of things to fit in. The most important was to get Amy and Luke a little something for having us, luckily a few days earlier Amy had seen something she wanted so with a quick smile at each other we knew what to get. After a little bit of shopping we headed to climb the pylon of the Harbour Bridge. This was a little disappointing but nothing could really compete with climbing the actual bridge!!
