I am SO glad I went up and out with Jane today. We had a absolute blast and much better than just sitting next to the pool all day (as beautiful as it is!!)
So we got the bus to Horseshoe bay and decided to get a kiyak (Not got a clue how it's spelt!) cause seemingly there are loadsa sea turtles out there so we got in and had such a laugh riding it... for about 10 mintues!! It's bloody hard work when rafting against the tide, especially when you're 2 blonde girls without a clue to what your doing! We eventually got to the place where there are loadsa sea turtles and couldn't see anything :( A couple were rafting back to shore and said they had seen a few but you just need to be really quiet and not do anything with your oars in the water so we kept doing that but we just kept on drifting back towards the sea so we decided to really paddle far up then just drift back and then Jane saw one!! We paddled quite far out then just sat quietly and watched for their wee heads peeking up through the surface. It was so annoying cause it felt the split second I looked the other way, Jane would see one peeking up! I was getting quite pissed off but then all of a sudden this huge one came up right beside the canoe!!! It was only for a couple of seconds but he looked amazing and I just wanted to pick him up and keep him as my pet!! After that I started noticing more and more and it was lovely just sitting there watching them. As we sat and looked out for these turtles we were slowly driting into this cove bit so we decided to head and raft back to shore but it was even harder getting back to shore than it was getting out there! BUt it was totally worth it! I finally saw my first turtles in Australia!!!!
After that we decided to go to Wallabie Point where you can feed the rock wallabies. We got off the bus and the driver gave us very vague direcetions on where to go and as we were walking along we were sure that it wasn't right but we soon saw a few people so guessed it must be the right way. As we were walking to wards them we just saw these tiny little wallabies running along the rocks and hiding in them! Suddenly we noticed LOADS of them!! They were so cute!! We sat and took loadsa pictures and the sun was setting so it was absolutly gorgeous! Really wish we had a wee carry out or something cause I could have sat there for hours (like a right bogan!) but the whole day, sunset and view was so nice I couldhave just sat and absorbed it for ages!
Sarah and Jane leave tomorrow and I'm gutted about saying bye to them. I've still got another day here and so is Keisha (we still haven't figured out her real name!) we might do something tomorrow but I just fancy chilling out and taking in my last day on this amazing island.
