I was so lucky the other day, when I was moving in to Gilligans, to bump into James (receptionist from Airlie beach) cause he said before leaving Cairns to meet for a drink. We had spoke in Airlie about the full moon party so I knew he would be going which was good cause I was so nearvous about going and not actually knowing anyone so at least I kinda knew James which was a relief! When I went to meet him in Gilligans he ws with Buck, another Oz Experience driver and he said to just cancel my bus to Maggie Island and jump on his oz experience bus which is amazing cause 1) I get my money back and save $60 and 2) I can meet more people on the bus for going to Maggie Island and the full moon party!

We done a lot of the Atherton Tablelands which is included in the Oz experience but obvioiusly cause I just got the greyhound straight up I missed it, but I saw most of it on Uncle Brian's so most of it I had just seen a few days before!

It made me sad being on that bus cause everyone is just starting off their journey down the coast and I want to just do it all over again! Buck never done any 'getting to know you games' which was weird cause at the start of the trip it is most important to do them then but everyone was lovely and we all bonded really well anyway!

It was all smooth sailing until we got to Townsville and had the get the ferry over to Magnetic Island. I had phoned about 3 times to Base on Magnetic Island to confirm my ticket for the full moon party with included return tickets to Maggie Island and they always said to just say my name when I got there, should of bloody know it would all fall through!! Got to the ferry terminal, gave my name and they said nothing was there under my name. We then called Base and they said there was no ticket for me, no ferry transfers and I should have been given a confirmation number - something I asked for the 3 times I called up but they always said I didn't need it! It was so scary cause the ferry was leaving and everyone had to get on that boat so was left by myself not having a clue what to do! Luckily they just let me on the ferry last minute but it was a mad rush to get on it before it left, this was one of the crucial times I wish I had a back pack!! Trying to run to catch a boat with a suitcase full to the gunnels with crap is not easy but at least I made it and met everyone - was such a relief!!!

That night we got some free jugs of beer and cider and got quite pissed with the people on the bus that were coming to the full moon party! Got on really well with a girl called Jane and Sarah and were all going tot he full moon party so I was SO glad I 1) got the Oz Ex bus 2) Got on the Ferry and 3) Got my Full Moon ticket! Things could have so easily gone t*** up but luckily everything fell into place!

Maggie Island is a amazing little island and our accomodation is so cool!There is a pool thats right on the beach and we all have little huts with 4 bunks in it! Love it here <3
