So it's been a week since we arrived and the constant handing of resumes and attending interviews has come to no avail. Well in saying this we have a job as a charity fundraiser.. Time will tell as to how it pays and whether the rejection factor will overwhelm us, who knows, it may be an enjoyable experience.
Met some great people in Darwin, few English lads, a French guy who looks the spitting image of Mclovin from Superbad and a girl from Belgium, word is we may travel together but once again time will tell.
Been up to a few activities, went to Mindel beach market, the northern territory museum and Parap market, which is similar to Mindel but mainly focused on food. The northern territory museum was interesting, lots of information on the aboriginal culture and cyclone Tracey which nearly wiped out darwin in 1974. My favourite part was the ironically named croc sweetheart, which was around 8 metres and before it was caught an killed, mainly lived on a diet of bush pigs and people.
The beaches in Darwin are superb, the only draw back is that fresh and salt water crocs live in the water and it's advised not to swim, which to be fair suits us down to the ground.. So decisions decisions time to decide where and when I'm going, I'd love to stay but something is pulling me away. Till nx time.
