Got up this morning and checked out. Had to put my bag in holding as was not going to airport until 2 pm.
Went out to the strip to walk to the hop on hop off bus stop. It wasn't there so I walked off the strip to the next stop which was at Hard Rock. This took about 1/2 hr and when I got there it said first bus arrive sat 10.20 am. It was 8.45 am this place just gets better and better. I had a Mob tour booked at 10 am at the Tropicana which is across the road from the MGM so I could have stayed there. Anyway caught a taxi to the Tropicana as I thought I may be able to get an earlier tour but it didn't open till 10 am so I had to sit around for an hour.
Did the tour which was fun and got rubbed out by the boss got a free T-shirt though.
After this I walked across the road or over it as it was an overpass into the Excalibar as the hop on bus stopped there. I got on the bus and did 1 loop and then it was time to walk back to the MGM.
Got my bags and then waited for my shuttle which was 15 mins late but that was ok because I had a 1.5 hrs wait anyway. They like to get you to the airport early over here and the security is tight. Shoes and belts off every time (lucky i didn't have any torches) and it is a full body scan where you have to go in the machine and hands above heads while it scans you.
Only a small plane and a 1 hr flight to San Francisco. When arrived noticed the difference in temperature straight away it must have been about 20 degrees lower here. Got the shuttle and arrived at hotel about 8.30 pm. Had some dinner then bed as off to Yosemite tomorrow at 6 am.
Didn't see much of San Francisco as it was dark but very hilly. Hotel is ok, it is a Holiday Inn like NYC but a bit older. Only 2-3 streets from Fisherman's Wharf though so should be good.
