We like to get a bit of sea time in all our destinations so we took a trip up the Yarra river to the ancient port of Williamstown. The river trip was not very inspiring as it took you through all the container port. However Williamstown is a pretty little place with pleasant walks and all the bars and restaurants that were heaving on a Sunday. The sun did make an appearance today but the cold wind from Antartica meant that fleeces were needed.
Melbourne seems has some lovely parks and fantastic sporting facilities and all the best sporting events come here so would be a great place to live, if only the weather was a bit better.
So we leave Australia tomorrow. Our overall impression is that Australians have a great country it's very clean they have great facilities and I think Australians know they are quite lucky. However they do like a bit of history and they haven't got much so everywhere you go there is information on the history of the place, so they all want to come to the UK ,even though our weather is not as good and the lady we are staying with is coming to the UK to see the Dr Who exhibition how sad is that ?
Not sure what the wifi will be like in NZ so apologies if blog updates are less frequent.
