25.07.08 CAPE TOWN

got up about 8.50 having slept in our little bed in the barn in dejembe, quality upgrade for the same price as the dorm! was definitly nice not to have to tackle the 3 story bunk bed. took a few more piccies and then chilled at the bar with morphius and everyone before climbign aboard the bus at 10:30 for the logn ride to cape town where we sat and chatted with the girls and had a break for some more yummy dbonaires pizza! arrived at carnival court our hostel which was right in the middle fo long street, a big party street :) booked ourselves into a four bed dorm with amy and tash which was pretty cool as they are quality girls. we lay in bed chattign with the very loud, psychadelic blue/jazz band in the background befroe sleeping.

26.07.08 cape town

woke up at 8 and went to do soem laundry then headed to mr pigwinckle and awesoem cafe for brekkie, it was delicious! headed to the local market to pick up some goods where we bought some gorgeous african art and jewellry. picked up our laundry and went to limb table mountain onyl to be told the weather was too bad (brim was gutted.) instead we headed to thwe waterfront for a wander round the shops, saw some live music with a dancing group and got a taxi back and the driver asked for our e-mails and an invite to stay with us in england!???!! dodgey assylum seekers! we chilled out at the hostel bfore getting ready to go out and went for a tradtional curry, called maharaja where we were dissapointed with the stnadard, its no imrans! then caught a taxi to buckleys bar on the beachfront...however our driver managed to drive R100 in the wrong direction which we refused to pay! the bar was a typical old mans bar but our friend shaun worked there and we were fed free drinks for hours....then headed onto cubana again for soem mroe dancing and drinking, yes this was another messy night!!! brim had to carry kim home as her back was hurting...the drink definitly didnt help.

27.07.08

woke up early adn got ready to go shark diving but it seems the weather was agaisnt us and therefore it was not too be (we were hearthbroken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) instead in our very very hungover state we hit a local cafe for soem brekkie and decided we needed soem pampering. first we went to the local turkish baths onyl to be told we had to go in naked with the men.....maybe not! next we went to a spa which was shut, and finally ended up at the nelson route hotel where we chilled out in the steam room before having a hydrobath and an amazing facial!! on the way back we stopped at a local mexican for some dinner and then brim and amy chileld on the balcony as kim and tash slept. brim+amy got a drink and then we all began to get ready to go out. this was the most RIDICULOUS taxi we have ever encoutered in our so far short lives!! the driver was clearly either high, drunk, both or just mentally derranged. finalyl got to camps bay and went to a bar called caprice, where the guys were male versions of essex girls with money...yes we laughed alot!! amy got molested by a green mile guy look alike and we all got harrased by some god awful indians who insisted on sendign over trays full of shots! headed back and chilled out in an irish bar and got some food before hitting the sack. great way to spend out last night in sa!! :)
