DAY 22: DURBAN

woke up to get the baz bus in the mornign which didnt arrive therefore kim inherited her mothers lawyers voice, got her strop on and sure enough the bus was there within 30 minutes after insisting they were an hour away (yes do not mess with kimberley, brim was acctualy scared!). we wtched borat and were hounded by a portugese bony man to take part in his "video" (think hes a wannabe borat!) opnly his video consisted of standing in front of fast food outlets sticking his tongue out! fantastic! got to tekweni our hostel about 6 and headed to the local spar to get some meat for our braai (BBQ) cooked on a grill over half a metal keg cintaining fire! yummy yummy! met the boys of tewkenis extende3d family, derrick,. matt, raul and the crazy G and wati who had an awesome red hat! spent the evening chilling out with them, managaing to get derrick to cook our meat and ended up chatting till the early hours.

DAY 23:

due to our nrmal early get ups we were awake by 8 and eagerly headed off to the shops by 9, we went t stamford hill road to explore the factory surf shops spending a small fortune before brim forgot the pin code to her card!! headed back and tried our hand at public transport but we missed the bus......8 times, before giving up and getting a lift from a local business man in a posh mercedes :p we went to musgrave centre first but it ws rubbish, walked in and out and headed to gatewy the largest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere. it has an aquarium, surf simulator, skate park etc and the largest free standing rock climbimg wall in the world! mooched around and spent another small fortune and headed home. picked up our washing (lets face it we never gonna do it oursel;ves!) and hit the spar again before we went back to begin our stirfry.......went a little to large on the portion size so we bagged the remains for lunch (literally stirfry in plastic bags with duck tape!) due to lack of tupperware....buysiness opprtunity for any entrepeneurs. chil;ledout with the boys again and went to spar d'agio for chocolate kisses with matt and derrick before more homework for our diving!

DAY 24:

headed to calypso dive centre for 9am and got a free dive whilst our instructor assesed our standard. dived with pat our isntructor, mark the irish guy, a cray german, an irritating english woman anc\d carl the gigner dive master! did our first dive off a speedboat and saw a ships massive anchor and chain \, entertained ourselves getting back into the boat. we froze for 35minutes in the wind before heading down to do our FISH ID dive. could do neither wreck nor nav dive as weatehr too bad. sat talking about penetrating wrecks in our knowledge review with pat and mark beofre heding back nd sat chatting to derrick before getting more braai meat! crazy old drunk man signign about wether our triplet was a boy or girl....yes we did not udnerstand either! it all went wrong when johan cooked for us and persuaded us night out would be a good idea.went to cubana where we decided to experience the entire shooter list including a sowetan toilet, muff dive and abysnthminded *bleugh* tried our hand at south frican shisha then headed to casablance to dnce the night away and were plied with more drinks and bumped into g and mark. got home about half 3 having somehow called brims mum for a lovelly drunken chinwag!! oooops sorry!

DAY 25:

woke up as the living dead, didnt think we could ever be so hung over! why did none of you warn us about the dangers of absynth?????????? or foreign alcohol for that matter?!? hats hopodies and trackies were donned before being advised by g to head back to th source of our pain for lunch. witress clearly recongnised us and had a good laugh at our expense. went back to bed for a few hours untill 4pm then came to write this but onyl managed 3 days in only an hour (brim was sick 4 times :( ) managed to wangle dinenr of johan again :P carl and h from the dive centre randomly tunred up and our night was consumed wiht pool, uno and talk of diving :D went and ot some munch from the shop nd after brim and h cheakily eating all our cereal :P finally realised it was 11:30 so h took brim for a spin on his bike before heading to bed to find rich in our room, not impressed!!

DAY 26:

woke up early and showered then pestered g about what to do...he sent us paintballing! with just the 2 of us it was very iuntense, proper sweat on, and had gret fun shooting the crap out of each other!!! brim shot kim in the arse twice whilst kim winded brim in the back, funny times! then came the best part we got SOUTH AFRICAN PUBLIC TRANSPORT! oh yes we waited for an hour for the bus and ended up in the middle of durban city with no idea where we were! tried to go to the indian markets, gave up wandering round and sat in posh hotel feeling out of place with paint on us waititng for taxi home! got some bunnychou from local takeawy which we were told was fnatastic...very dissapointed! went to bed only to be woken by h and kyle and 10 minutes later we were out again. went to hard rock cafe before going to sleep.

DAY 27:

got up at 5:50 to leave at 6 for our aliwal shoal dive :D we launchyed at 8 ridign some huge wavesand were joined by a massive group of dolphins including dolphins, absolutly lush! we descended down to remarkably clear wters and in the first minute sw our first SHARK! swam withhin arms reach of raggies nd black tip sharks who were surprisingly doci;le and the biggest first you will ever see a potato bass. brim was last to go up due to her fnatastic lung capacity and we chilled back at the dive centre learning all about the area and the aquatic life. managed to wangle a free ride back with cliff massive saving! legend of a man! went out and got pizza from debonaires, move over dominos!! this is pizza express standard take away for 2 poubnd! back to tekweni and chilled out before getting ready for the nights crazy drinking antics, we even dried and straightened our hair!!! as it was stans birthdy it would of been rude not to do a bottle of vodka nd a few shots and persuaded matt and derrick to drink and vic fell asleep about 12. headed to casablanca wehre kim got told off for drinkign by kyle as did brim by raul. thought we had left the parents behind....got back about 2 :30 and brim waited for wati who was at the police station whilst h pondered how to get back his phone which was with wati! oh the drama!

Day 28:

woke up and watched the rugby after our late night after waiting for wati ll night brim slept till1 2 whilst kim went for food with vic. took what we thought was a quicks troll to the beach,30 minutes later we arrived! brim hit some big waves whilst kim fell asleep. got hounded by the locl lifeguards and had some yummy ice-cream before bummping into wati on the way home. spent evening chilling in tekweni, h and kyle popped by. chilled out nd atepizza, kim tried bacon and banana which she oddly really liked!! spent last evening the marly lounge\. highlight of the day ws g in his drunken state having not slept at all and drinkign through it! we heard all about his skinny dipping escapdes 3 times, dear oh dear!! hit the sack in an annoyingly full room, how dare they out people in our dorm!!

Day 29: Port Elizabeth

sat on a bus for 16 hours on the way to PE. we had an indian driver with a lump on his head like on tom and jerry which he trieed to disguise with threads of a combover!!! we chose to watch national security...which was good, then someone else chose to watch jet li and some prossies in kiss of the dragon....not so good!!! we arrived late and pretty much went straight to bed after a quick chat with a nice cupple in our dorm.

day 30:

got up for a township tour with a weird camp old man (jeff) with us who clearly thought toilet jokes were hilrious (dont really want to hear about his incontinence thanks!) went round an old part of PE and then to missionvale care centre. they care for 80% of the unemployed of 120,000 people!!!they adopt families and feed them giving help to the sick with their main focus on nutrition and to try and develop families by involving them in jobs in the community and offering computer lessons to children (genius!) bit disappointed we didnt get to see the proper culture of the areas and interact with the real people but it was a snapshot. we headed to the beachfront on a lovely walk. topped on the way at spur where we had a BIG FAT JUICY STEAK, a plate of salad (a meal of its own!) and drinks for about 8 squid! we carried on walking along the beachfront and found barneys tavern where we sat and watched the sunset, had a few bevvies and got out our trusty uno cards! headed back to jizumlezza!!!!! where we had a lush bath!!!!!!!!! luxury!!!!!!

day 31: jefferys bay

arrived at 9am from PE and checked in giving us 5 mins to get ready for our surf lesson! we spent the mornin til 12 learnin how to get up and ride the waves with a fat oldish surfer dude and a richard warrington lookalike! we kept getting up, then RW would shout causing us to fall off...silly boy! we headed to the town to get lunch with two of the lads before going bck to island vibe and chilling out for a wee bit. brim kitted up again and headed back to the waves, riding some big uns! kim followed shortly but their time was cut short as she got concussed by her own surfboard....smooth!!!! lay down while she recovered before a huge t bone steak for dinner mmmmmmmmm! spent the evening literally stuck to the bar, trying flaming sambuccas...yes lighting alcohol in our mouths! then having drinking competitions with the barmen and random others, meeting a few cool people. we headed to bed at some ungodly time and with about and hours sleep we woke up for the bus!

day 32: storms river

got to dijembe our new backpckers about 10.30. absolutely blown away by the beauty of both the hostel and its surroundings! a completely eco friendly place, we found a dorm to discover our beds....the 3rd tier of a tree bunk bed!!!! basically in the ceiling with rickety ladders to get up there....yes we feared for our lives. headed to the waterfalls for some funky ziplining...quality fun and gorgeous views! laughed at one fo the english girls screming as we went! the longest 211m going crazy fast from 50m up! headed back to dijembe and kim hounded morphius for some food! scrumptious bvattered fish, potato, mashed pumpkin and butternut and salad arrived some time later-well worth the wait! spent the evening laughing with morphius as he taught brim to play the african drums as kim chilled in the hammock. later on we slipped into the cheeky rooftop jacuzzi with cocktails and our new buddy morphius (crazy little man!!!!) sat below the trees and the stars in between the mountains!!! our peaceful luxury was disturbed by the crazy english girls singing about combine harvesters and "tratters" and jumpin in with us whilst wearing bicycle helmets....special children!

day 33:

unable to go to mossel bay to do a cage dive with great whites we were very disappointed so decided to try another adventure!!! headed to bloukans bridge first to watch amy and tash throw themselves off (attached to a bungy cord of course!) kim literally had to hold brim back as we were both heartbroken about being unable to participate, but a stern text from daddy brought us back to ground! we headed on to plettenburg bay to throw ourselves out of a plane at 10,000 feet instead....yes, we did a skydive!!!! had the coolest instructors and brim was fortunate enough to get to somersault out of the plane into the freefall....35 seconds of huge adrenaline freefall in the camp banana position was indescribable....this is also known as an airgasm!!! the parachute opened and we floated over the bay admiring the clouds, circular rainbows and the bechfront before rollercoastering down and sliding in on our bums (white shorts = bad idea!) we had our dvds made up and having landed safely from such a dangerous trip, brim managed to fall over her own feet on safe ground!!!! after a few beers with the guys and lots of innuendo we headed back to dijembe for another lush dinner before kim tried her hand at drumming and brim improved her skills. we were then upgraded free of charge to our own little wooden barn!!!!
