We have walked walked and walked some more! Lee hasnt taken his mammuts off since we arrived.

Couldnt ask for a better hostel to start in, it is so clean and nice, with strong aircon (so cold we have to sleep in the quilt). We would love to take this hostel all around the world with us! We will miss our room but excited to explore Phuket.

Bangkok.....dont know where to start it is literally crazy, traffic everywhere cutting each other up, smelly and constant traffic and crowds...but it has been a good experience here.

We tooka boat trip down the river on the locals boat (15baht) and got to see the whole of the city from the run down area to the really posh modern area. It was a great way to see alot of sights quickly and cheaply. The locals use the boat like londoners would use the central line.

So last night we ventured out to koh san road (backpackers central, full of bars, clubs, shops and entertainment). We started off sensible on the chang beer...but that quickly changed when we met two young Australian lads (lee was showing them how to drink). So after a three litre tower of beer we all then set upon the buckets and the rest is still a blur and trying to get home was a task in itself! (buckets are so so strong...lethal!!).

Today we made a HUGEEEE mistake of leaving the grand palace to the day we are hungover. Lee never had a hangover like this since Mexico he felt awful. Not good when you have to walk in 32 degree heat wearing trousers (dress code). The grand palace is absolutely sensational the detail is remarkable, we have never seen anything quite like it. We are so happy we went despite what happened next to poor Lee.

Near the end of our visit, Lee's hangover took a turn for the worst. Next thing I knew i turnt round to see his head stuck in a bush making alot of noise. He was sick in the Palace..luckily he managed to hide otherwise we would have been in alot of trouble! And if things werent bad another he discovered a clump of chewing gum right in the middle of his hair. I couldnt stop laughing and he was not impressed.

We took our last venture to koh san tonight of couse keeping off the buckets sticking to pepsi!!!! Lee is alan sugar a top haggler getting all the prices down. He got some gucci glasses hope you approve of the paul haha! and he is now a true traveller with his baggy elephant patterned trousers. (pictures to come).

Bangkok has been great, our first tuk tuk ride, our first street food (i know your all impressed) the chop sticks were challenging, and our first bucket (plenty more i am sure). We off to finish packing and dreading the rucksacks on our backs already. Then we are going to try and get some sleeep..if that is possible as there is a chinese convention and it is probably the worst noise you can imagine (constant drums) even with ear plugs on.

Will keep you updated when we get to Phuket we are dying t get to the beach and get tanning!
