We got out of our room a bit late today - we were still tired from our drinking night! The plan was to go visit a few temples. We got up late this morning with a sore head from last night. I had a sore neck too! Bloody massage guy! The receptionist in the hotel recommended we visit the Chatuchak Weekend Market, so we made our way to the subway station. It was red hot today - humidity and sunshine. We were really sweating by the time we got to the station! It was quite a long way to the market, but we were glad to have air con for a bit. It cost 40 Baht (80p) to get there which works out...

Our trip to China...DONE!! Caught the bus for 33HKD each (£2.70) to the airport and took an Air Asia flight out of Hong Kong to Bangkok at 10.45am. The views from the plane of Hong Kong and all the surrounding little islands were amazing. There's so many little islands and some bigger ones with quite high hills/mountains. The flight with AirAsia was fine. It's just like Asia's version of Jet2 - had to pay for a coffee etc - only a £1 each though. We'll just...

Final thoughts on China. We really enjoyed it. There's so much to see and so much history. Food The food is quite up and down in terms of some dishes that look good taste bad and the opposite. It's difficult to know where to eat and what to get sometimes. We'd recommend sticking with vegetables dishes though. There's plenty of Asian chain restaurants if you want to be safer. And if all else fails there's plenty of western restaurants - Pizza Hut, McDonalds, B...

Tried to get an early start today, but it was difficult dragging Therese out of bed! We were still up at 7.45am though. Wanted to get an early Speed Ferry to Macau (former Portuguese colony on mainland china).
