Well after our chat to the bus booking man last night we'd found out that Vietnam have their new year (TET festival) on 23rd January. Soo were we had planned to arrive in Mui Ne and look for a room once we got there, it turns out, it's the worse time. The people in Vietnam take their holidays now and tend to head for the beach over the month of the new year (basically the whole time we're in Vietnam) so prices have more than doubled for travel and accommodation!!!! We spent the morning ringing around, emailing and looking at websites for somewhere in Mui Ne and Nha Trang. After we'd sorted that we went back to the market to purchase a headband i'd seen but didnt get. Its my birthday in 3 days so a totally justified purchase, i used the excuse of a present from Lee!?! After more wondering we made our way for food again and bumped into a wonderful BBQ garden. As we are now expert chefs we took on the new challenge of barbecuing our own dinner!!! The people here spoke very little English so we just had to fully embrace the challenge..... After a little while we noticed the beef was still red so we enquired as to why the meat was cooking so slowly. It turns out the gas had gone out on the BBQ stove ha doh! Right once it was relighted we cooked our food and you know what we cooked it well. It was delicious and we had no repercussions in the morning!!!! After dinner we went to the Rex hotel. It's a posh hotel that has all designer shops in it. We skipped them and went straight to the roof top bar. There's some nice views. The drinks are way more expensive and if we're honest it wasn't really anything special. There was a staff party on at one part of the terrace.... Erm I can honestly say I've never been a work party like it. I think it was some of the female, younger, staff who had made up a dance routine to a medley of unusual songs. The more the routine went on the more clothes the girls took off?! Ha after we'd finished our drink we left to go bed ready for the early rise to get the bus to Mui Ne.
