The bus changed at Phuket then arrived in Krabi town at night. The views driving into krabi are (may I be so bold as to say) awe inspiring. Some how the earth has created these islands of limestone all around this area and it's left a stunning view in and around the island. As the sun was setting around the landscape of numerous eroding rocks it looked incredible.
We were dropped off actually in Krabi town so we asked a couple were they we're staying and headed for that area. We found an ok cheep room, 300baht guest house, unloaded are things then went for something to eat.
We chose somewhere around the corner from where we were staying. Krabi town looked dark and a little dirty. It reminded me of walking through west bank, in Widnes, at night. The chili con carne I tried tasted like beef in tomatoes on rice, Lees Buritoes... Different. There was a karaoke going in the bar down the road. There mustn't have been a tv because they only sang the chorus! The lady who owner the restaurant- tables in a well lit garage like living room area- was lovely. She sent her son running down the road for a sprite (had we known they didn't have any we would have got a different drink) . When we'd finished Lee pointed at a cockroach that was coming from the road towards me. I flew out my chair freaking out. The woman came over laughing and just shued it back to the gutter.... We finished our drink then as we got up to leave the lady came to clear the table. Next minute she started pointing at my feet saying cockroach cockroach... I nearly jumped in, the old woman's, arms to which she laughed saying just joking.... I think I actually slapped her arm. Lee the whole time stood laughing... Welcome to Krabi. At least we have spoke to nothing but friendly people so far. We went bed!
