Day 2
well we're finally in our hotel and it's lovely. The corridors are clean, the lift works and our is clean and white! I can confirm there is a pool on the roof and a restaurant however some1s having a private party news years eve so gonna have to go somewhere else.
We went for a look around and there were market stalls everywhere! Everything's 100 Bahts (approx £2)?!? It was very busy. We stopped in the food market were all the locals were eating. Lee opted for a noodle soup I went for a non meat pad Thai, playing it safe, it was 80 Bahts for the 2. I was a little shocked at the size of my noodles. They looked like huge flat worms!!! I had a little word with myself and stopped freaking out "It's a noodle not a flat worm" then I eat up! Lee was happy to eat anything ha.
After the markets we went the shop (7 eleven) - they're everywhere with different prices in each. The Vodka is approx 1,000 Bahts! That's £20?! A bottle of wines the same. So we got some Heineken 6 cans for 200 baht and sat round the pool.
Siloms night life.... Well we met some fab woman who showed us on a map the best places to go for New Year, where to drink and how to get there. She told us about the Sky Bar and to get taxis not tuk tuks! Taxis are cheaper because they're on a meter tuks are there for tourists. We got to the Sky bar (the dome) and it was a swanky hotel. They took one look at Lees toes and sent us away. Men aren't allowed to wear flip flops. There's a dress code to drink there so we asked how much to have a drink New Years Eve... 7,999 Bahts per person to sit in there :0. We politely walked away ha
