We woke bright and early. Lee started on breakfast whilst I turned the bedroom into a table and chairs. As Lee placed my cereal and his beans on toast on the table we noticed quite a few children had appeared from nowhere. Well who would have thought. The rest area we'd stopped in was also a bus stop for school kids *awkward*. We eat as quick as possible, put everything away and took of down the country road/ A1 freeway.... Seriously a school bus here? There is nothing for miles. We spotted the odd house in between trees but we would never have guessed that that stop would be a school bus stop?! There's no school?
We drove past fields that were drowning from the recent floods still. Random fact;theres a Lee street here!
There were quite a few quirky buildings too! We arrived in Coffs Harbour and went for a little walk. It's a harbour, there's boats... It's nice if you like harbours.... A little further on there's a gorgeous little beach on the solitary islands coastal walk. It reminded me of the notebook so I ran into the sea doing the bird scene from the film; 'say I'm a bird'. Lee doesn't remember that part of the film so we'll have to watch the film again :)
This little beach was gorgeous. There was only me and Lee there.
As we drove away we drove through a housing estate that looked like something off the tele because it was so clean, green and perfect.
This place is where bananas grow too! We carried on our drive, past bald k*** road to a rest area so I could go the toilet. I was bursting so when we got there I got out the car to the little unisex toilet. I lifted the toilet lid and was bombarded with poo particles and flies. Aaaahhhh I needed a wee but I just couldnt do it. The toilet was popped on top off a hole in the ground which was at its max capacity. The flies hovered around the rim and I couldn't even fathom what would happen if I hovered there too... I had to be at one with nature.
Australia is a crazy land. Last week we were in the middle of a desert, yesterday it was swamp land (because of the floods) today it was green fields and forests.
I love the varying houses too. It's not very often you see the same style house and the letter boxes are quirky!. We carried onwards to Byron bay.
