We're up an just got in the tuk tuk to Haks guesthouse. As we pulled outside to everyone eating breakfast on the front Lee started vomiting! He's took the malaria tablet and it makes him vomit, so he was hanging over the local sewer, next to the guesthouse vomiting as I unloaded the bags ( acting like I didn't know him). We came in and got served breakfast, thats when we found out the wonderful Leeda was a pigging lier too! The taxi should have been 20usd max! Flippin heck the only part of the border cross I didn't note down! Grrr whilst I sat fuming with myself for paying double lee vomited in the guesthouse toilet... Then the cheese on toast I ordered came and it was a dry baguette with a laughing cow triangle? On the plus side we got a side of random fruit as a nice suprise!
Right as soon as they've finished cleaning our room??? we're starting the day!
Right things were thrown in the room, which looked standard and clean, then we went off to explore Siem Reap town properly. There are lots of shops, selling more or less the same thing and loads of restaurants & bars. We went back to our food place in the market and as I sipped a coconut Lee got his feet eat off by fish :/ The first thing we noticed was that every1 seemed much more friendly than in Bangkok.
Whilst lee was feeding the fish 2 little boys came and sat with him. Think they were trying to tell Lee the fish were Piranha!!! We wondered some more then went back to the guesthouse because Hak had arranged for Sim to pick us up in his tuk tuk to take us to see Angkor Wat at sunset and get our ticket for the following day.
We decided to see the sunset from the mountain, bit steep but not really a mountain, we were at the top in 20 mins. It was too cloudy so didn't get the best pics. Sim dropped us off at thebluepumpkin, a cool little restaurant and bakery, all white seats, walls and cushions... The mountain was dusty so lee looked like he'd had an accident when we got up to leave....
We had a couple of cocktails in a few bars in 'pub street'. One was called Angkor What were everyone writes on the wall. Luckily I had a pen in my bag so I added to it. Didn't realize I'd wrote write next to 'Tom loves bum'.... They had some nice cocktails lee tried one called Kryptonite! Then we headed back to the guesthouse in prep for the 5 oclock pick up to see the sunrise over Angkor Wat in the morning.
