We arrived at Puerto Iguazu at 9am. The door on the bus opened to torrential rain. The hostel was around the corner from the bus terminal. A 2 minute walk according to the map but it was pouring down so I suggested a taxi. A minimum of 25 Pesos! My word that's expensive so we decided to walk. I unzipped the back of my backpack to release the straps and did a couple of stretches in prep for the lift, donning and carrying. Easy peasy. I can carry the bag on my back but the bag has wheels so why bother?! Anyway I turned to see if Lee was ready and he wasn't! He had began an operation. First flip flops off, socks out of his back pack; back packs locked- find the key to the back pack, unlock the back pack, find socks, close back pack, lock back pack, open bottom of the back pack, get walking shoes out, put flip flops away, look for water proof cover, put shoulder bag in the bottom of the bag, find waterproof coat, cover the back pack then finally put backpack on....
We left the terminal walked around the corner and the hostel was there... Seriously 20 mins to prepare for a 2 minute walk?! Thats Lee!
We checked in and realised we had nothing to do. It was pouring down all day. We sat in reception and used the wifi. That's when I found out my little sister had updated her status to say she'd had her uni results and had got a 1st. The icing on the cake was it's Wednesday; family night. I skyped home to say well done to Chezza and to see everyone. After a good 20mins with rubbish reception we said goodbye and decided we needed food. We put our waterproofs on and went for a walk to the shop. The town is tiny and in the rain looked miserable with nothing really to write home about. We bought ham and cheese and fresh bread. Came back to the hostel, made some butties for now and 2 for the trip tomorrow then went to the room to shower, get warm and watch a film.
