Arrived in Chiang Mai at 5pm, greeted at the airport by Chuk (our guide) who took us to their offices to register for our trek the next day. Then off to the hotel to check in, some dinner and a good sleep!

Chiang Mai Gate Hotel - Nice room, friendly staff, lovely little restaurant
Chiang Mai Walking Street - this is a market that runs every Sat eve, very busy with stalls lining both sides of the narrow street (Kings Birthday weekend so the streets are very busy)
Trek - was amazing experience, too much to write about but to sum it up...lovely scenary, some tough trekking up the mountains, walking through rivers and caves, friendly tribe family that we stayed with, very uncomfortable sleeping on the bamboo floors, bathing in the river was fun, guides were amazing making eating utensils and bowls from bamboo, cooking over the fire, amazing food (we even tried frogs legs which weren't too bad)

Then off to Phuket on our next adventure....
