Hello,
I live to write another blog!!!!!
Dentist was fun yesterday, ended up having an emergency root canal. Turns out thats no so cheap. but still a bargain at 4000B. Haver to say so far so good, feels better!!! My jaw however is a bit sore from being clamped open for an hour!!!!
Josie -- actually it was very clean and everything, i even got an x ray to give to my dentist at home, the only thing was its was bloody scary with no one telling me what they were doing!!!
Anyway, todays another day.
After my trauma yeaterday i just headed back to the hotel for a quick swim and a shower before meeting up with the next group. Hoping i didnt feel like thew drooling elephant man when i did!!!
They all seem really nice, 11 of us in total, 3 english girlks who are a good laugh and have very much my sense of humour, one bloke from blackburn and a couple of younger lads from england too. I'm sharing a room with an indian woman in her 40's who is living in canada, she seems nice but judging on last night might end up swapping rooms to be with one of the english girls since she goes to bed so early! Mind you the group splits in Hanoi with some peoples trip ending there, about 5 of us are going up to Hong Kong.
We went for some food and then to see a really good Thai rock band (doing english covers, a bit weird, but really good!!) at a pub on the Khoa San Road. Then the english people, me included thought we couldnt leave Bangkok without heading to the red light district and having a walk around there. Very funny it was too!!!! Exactly what you see on TV. Not really seedy like places back home, more like blackpool with strip shows, very funny.
This morning we took a long boat through the canals of the city, kinda understand why its nicknamed the venice of asia now, when you walk round banglampoo you would never be able to guess!!!!! Then we headed to Wat Pho, the temple that holds the huge reclining Budda, its 16m high and 48 long! HUGE BUDDAH!!!!!!
In a couple of hours we head to the train station to board the overnight train to Chaing Mai, in the north of Thailand, all being well, elephant trekking and bamboo rafting awaiting!!!!!
Anyhow i'm off to get some Loas Kip!!!
