From Kina we headed up through Motueka and went for a couple of walks in the forest and to a spiritual Maori place where someone was getting a cleansing ceremony performed.
The drive was a bit of an arse as the road was steep and twisty and the weather was a right pea-souper. The views would've been great I'm sure though.
Kept on going to Farewell Spit the next day and the weather gradually improved! Loooong walk on Farewell. The dunes are cool though and the beach on the ocean side is ridicuolousl huge and it feels like it's never ending!
From there we went to another look out and then on Wharariki Beach. Loved that place! Just beautiful! and saw fur seal pups playing in the shallow pools left when the tide is out.
We had a beach day the next day. Stopped off in Takaka first. Proper hippie town with a great chilled feel to it.
Ligar Bay was where we stayed most of the day. Great beach and not much people. We stopped off at Tata beach as well before heading to campsite for the night.
