We were Both up Early and showered before going down to breakfast in the restaurant. We then packed up and took the shuttle to the airport whee we went through all the rigmarole of going through immigration etc. We finally boarded the plane after a little duty free shopping and I am typing this about 25,000 feet and about three hours into the flight. We are due to arrive in Milan at about 2.00 pm. This solves NLT hotel problem!!
We arrived at about 1.30 pm at Malpensa airport and we were finally glad to be in Italy. We exited the plane and headed for immigration and then on to our baggage collection. We only waited about five mini yes before our bags arrived on the bagged trolley. I looked over at dad and he looked relieved - he was worried that our bags would be lost in transit somewhere in Dubai.
After clearing customs we were met by Mauro, Gabriela and Daniele. Lots of double cheek kissing and then we were off tonBruzzano and Paolo's house. More kissing and then we sat for a while before Mauro and Gabriela took me to my hotel.
I checked in, had a sleep for an hour or two and then had a shower and washed some clothes.
At around 7.30 pm Mauro, dad and Alessandro picked me up and we went to their house for dinner. Lovely meal of pasta followed by fish and finished with cheese and coffee.
Dad was looking very tired and he even fell asleep in the chair. We left at around 11.30 pm and met Paolo who was coming to pick us up. He took dad home and Mauro took me back to the hotel. Relaxed and then had a good night's sleep.
